Customize pages, columns, and section layout

Arrange Jobaria resume sections across pages, use full-width or column layouts, and keep the document's reading order clear.

Quick answer

Open Layout in the resume builder to control pages, columns, and section placement. Keep core experience in the main reading path, use sidebars for compact supporting information, and check the complete preview after every structural change.

Plan the reading order

Place the most important information where a recruiter will encounter it naturally. A common order is summary, recent experience, earlier experience, education, and supporting skills or credentials.

Adjust the layout

  1. Open the resume in the builder and select Layout.
  2. Review the current page structure.
  3. Move sections to the intended page and supported column.
  4. Use a sidebar for compact information such as skills or languages when it improves scanning.
  5. Add or adjust pages when important content does not fit clearly.
  6. Check that a section heading and its content are not separated awkwardly.
  7. Review the preview from the first page through the last.

Expected result

The document has a deliberate reading order, balanced pages, and no hidden or unexpectedly displaced section. The PDF uses the same page structure shown in the preview.

Troubleshooting

  • If a section disappears, confirm that it is visible and assigned to a page.
  • If a sidebar becomes crowded, move a long section back to the main column.
  • If the final page contains only a few lines, improve content and spacing before forcing everything onto one page.
