Can I import a Word document?

Not in the current import flow. Convert the document to PDF first, make sure the result is readable, and upload a file no larger than 2 MB.

Why must my PDF be 2 MB or smaller?

The current Jobaria upload flow accepts PDF files up to 2 MB. Exporting with compressed images or a standard PDF quality setting usually reduces the file without changing its text.

What should I check after importing my resume?

Check names, contact details, dates, employer and school grouping, links, bullet points, skills, and any content that may have been placed in the wrong section.

Import an existing resume PDF

Before you start

Use a text-based PDF where possible. Scans, complex graphics, and unusual multi-column source layouts can make extraction less reliable. The file must be a PDF and no larger than 2 MB.

Import the PDF

Open Resume Builder → Resumes and select Create Resume.
Choose Upload existing resume.
Select or drop the PDF into the upload area.
Wait while Jobaria uploads, extracts, and structures the content.
Open the created resume in the builder.
Compare the imported content with the source PDF and correct any discrepancy.

Expected result

Jobaria creates a new editable resume using the information it extracted. The original visual design is not imported; choose a Jobaria template and design after verifying the content.

Troubleshooting

For an unsupported-file error, export the source as a real PDF rather than renaming its extension.
For a size error, compress images or export the PDF at a standard quality setting.
If extraction misses content, add it manually in the builder. Repeatedly importing the same difficult source is unlikely to improve it.
Never assume an AI extraction is exact; review the result before applying to a job.
