Élodie Marchand
Tactical Basketball Coach & Player Development Specialist
Vendée Performance Basket
Dear Selection Committee,
I am writing to express my strong interest in the Basketball Coach position at Vendée Performance Basket. With a background directing senior competitive squads and youth talent pathways in French national and regional divisions, I offer a disciplined coaching approach focused on tactical preparation, systematic player development, and structured performance management.
In my current role as Head Coach for the senior women's team at Atlantique Basket Club Nantes, I lead matchday tactics and practice sessions in the National 2 division, achieving two consecutive top-three conference finishes. To enhance team performance against diverse tactical matchups, I design offensive motion sets and transition defensive schemes tailored to roster profiles. I also integrated video breakdown workflows using Hudl to evaluate opponent tendencies and deliver individualized player feedback, while coordinating closely with physical preparation staff to monitor athletic workloads—contributing to a 20% drop in soft-tissue injuries across two seasons.
My earlier experience at Loire Estuaire Basket as U18 Head Coach and Senior Assistant Coach further strengthened my focus on player progression, where I coached the regional U18 squad to the Pays de la Loire championship finals and conducted position-specific skill sessions for perimeter players. Grounded by my DEJEPS Basketball certification and Licence STAPS from Université de Nantes, I emphasize structured fundamentals, spacing, and cohesive team defense to help athletes compete effectively.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss how my tactical preparation, video analysis workflows, and commitment to player development can support the competitive ambitions of Vendée Performance Basket. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Élodie Marchand
