Fiona Campbell
Senior Municipal Administrator | Deputy Chief Administrative Officer
City of Timberline
Dear Mayor and Members of Council,
I am writing to express my strong interest in the City Manager position with the City of Timberline. With extensive executive leadership experience within Alberta municipal frameworks, I have dedicated my career to advancing council strategic goals, strengthening intergovernmental collaboration, and delivering fiscally responsible public administration. The opportunity to serve as Chief Administrative Officer for Timberline aligns directly with my background in leading multi-disciplinary civic teams and guiding long-term municipal sustainability.
In my current role as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Aspen Ridge, I oversee 180 municipal staff and administer an annual operating budget of 48 million CAD across corporate services, public works, and planning. Working in close alignment with elected council under the Alberta Municipal Government Act, I led the modernization of our municipal asset management frameworks, securing 6.2 million CAD in provincial infrastructure grants. Additionally, I facilitated intermunicipal collaboration framework discussions with neighbouring rural districts, achieving shared infrastructure cost-sharing agreements that protected regional service levels.
Prior to Aspen Ridge, I served as Director of Corporate Services for the Municipal District of Foothills Prairie, directing long-term financial modeling and procurement for a 32 million CAD budget and modernizing corporate ERP workflow systems. Supported by my Master of Public Administration from Queen's University and credential as a Certified Municipal Manager (CMM III), I offer an executive approach rooted in statutory compliance, rigorous fiscal stewardship, and transparent council reporting.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss how my administrative experience and dedication to Alberta local government can serve the City of Timberline and support City Council's vision for the community. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Fiona Campbell
