In my current role at Noordkaap Asset Management, I lead the ongoing implementation of DNB and AFM regulatory guidelines across daily investment operations and fund administration. My responsibilities center on overseeing AML and KYC onboarding processes and transaction monitoring frameworks for institutional clients across Northern Europe, as well as conducting annual compliance risk assessments to identify control gaps and deliver remediation roadmaps. Furthermore, during our AML Workflow Modernization project, I structured and executed the operational integration of revised customer due diligence workflows into an upgraded enterprise compliance platform, successfully reducing file review cycles by 18%.
Prior to this, at Zaanstad Merchant Banking, I handled elevated CDD and EDD files for high-risk corporate accounts, determining regulatory exposure and reporting suspicious transactions. I also assisted in updating internal governance policies in response to revised EU Anti-Money Laundering Directives, including 5AMLD and 6AMLD, and collaborated with internal audit teams to execute thematic compliance reviews covering market conduct and conflict of interest policies. Combined with delivering regular regulatory updates and training sessions to investment teams, this experience allows me to provide clear guidance and maintain robust supervisory standards.
