I am writing to express my interest in the Dishwasher position at Gasthaus Spreeufer. Having worked in busy Berlin dining rooms and cafes, I am accustomed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while ensuring kitchen service runs smoothly during busy dinner and weekend rushes.
In my current role as Kitchen Steward and Dishwasher at Bistro Kiezgarten, I operate industrial conveyor dishwashers and manage manual pot-washing stations during peak dinner services accommodating more than 180 covers nightly. I sort, rinse, and stack porcelain, cookware, and glassware while strictly adhering to HACCP guidelines and local food safety protocols. Additionally, I maintain station hygiene by cleaning wash areas, sweeping and mopping, sorting organic waste, and restocking cleaned items for the cook line.
Prior to this, at Café Holzmarkt, I handled glassware, cutlery, and service trays in a high-volume weekend brunch setting. My responsibilities included maintaining chemical levels in commercial undercounter dishwashers, checking sanitizing water temperatures, and cleaning floor drains and waste areas according to routine shift schedules. Combined with my valid Infection Protection Act certificate (Belehrung nach § 43 IfSG), these experiences have given me a reliable, methodical approach to dishroom maintenance.
