Alex Vance
Senior Recruitment Consultant & Talent Acquisition Lead
Birrarung Advisory Group
Dear Hiring Team,
I am writing to express my interest in the Recruiter position at Birrarung Advisory Group. With extensive experience delivering end-to-end talent acquisition across corporate, executive, and specialist disciplines in Melbourne, I welcome the opportunity to support your organisation's hiring objectives through proactive talent pipelining and structured assessment methodologies.
In my current role as Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant with Yarra Glen Talent Advisory, I direct full-lifecycle recruitment for enterprise and public-sector accounts. By designing targeted sourcing strategies, talent mapping frameworks, and structured evaluation matrices, I reduced average time-to-hire by 18 days while lifting 12-month candidate retention across client portfolios to 94 percent. I regularly partner with hiring executives to establish role requirements, salary benchmarking standards, and inclusive hiring practices that ensure well-aligned, high-calibre appointments.
Previously, as Senior In-House Recruiter at Kyneton Corporate Services, I managed a portfolio of senior corporate vacancies spanning finance, procurement, legal, and operational leadership. In this role, I implemented structured competency-based interviewing frameworks and scorecards adopted across five business divisions, and oversaw vendor engagement to achieve an annual recruitment expenditure saving of 22 percent. This background enables me to combine rigorous candidate assessment with efficient stakeholder management to meet demanding recruitment deadlines.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss how my recruitment background and candidate sourcing experience can support the talent requirements at Birrarung Advisory Group. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours sincerely,
Alex Vance
