Cloud Architect cover letter example

Kimberley Resources Technology

Dear Hiring Team,

I am writing to express my interest in the Cloud Architect position at Kimberley Resources Technology. With a professional background spanning enterprise systems administration, cloud engineering, and multi-cloud architectural design across Western Australia's industrial and logistics sectors, I welcome the opportunity to help advance your enterprise infrastructure strategy and modernize critical platform operations.

In my current role as Cloud Architect at Jarrah Cloud Systems, I lead the design and implementation of multi-region AWS and Azure landing zones, establishing standard security guardrails and network topologies for enterprise clients. To accelerate environment delivery without sacrificing consistency, I authored modular Terraform codebases that reduced tenant onboarding turnaround from weeks to three days. Furthermore, I collaborated closely with engineering teams to embed FinOps monitoring frameworks into platform workflows, identifying architectural waste and decreasing monthly cloud expenditure by 18%.

Earlier at Swan Industrial Technologies, serving as Senior Cloud Engineer, I designed and executed migration pathways to transition legacy on-premises ERP databases and web applications onto AWS using automated CI/CD pipelines. This work included implementing centralized identity management and transit networking architectures connecting five regional operating sites to cloud virtual private clouds, all structured around the AWS Well-Architected Framework and Australian cybersecurity guidelines.

Kimberley Resources Technology's commitment to building dependable, high-performance operational platforms reflects my dedication to rigorous infrastructure as code and disciplined architectural review. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my practical cloud migration and governance experience can support your team.

Sincerely,

Elena Vance
