Callum MacLeod
Senior Graphic Designer
Stirling & Baird Communications
Dear Hiring Team,
I am writing to express my interest in the Graphic Designer position at Stirling & Baird Communications. With an established background in brand identity, editorial design, and multi-channel creative production in Edinburgh, I welcome the opportunity to contribute to your studio's cultural and commercial client programmes.
In my current work as Senior Graphic Designer at Teviot Creative Studio, I lead visual identity deliverables across retail, cultural, and hospitality accounts from initial discovery through to press production. Directing comprehensive identity overhauls, I achieved an average 28% increase in client brand consistency across both print and digital touchpoints. My day-to-day work balances refined typography and design systems with close supplier collaboration, liaising directly with external printers to guarantee colour fidelity, stock suitability, and sustainable specifications.
My technical and editorial discipline was further developed at Braemar Media & Print, where I designed layouts for bi-monthly publications and corporate annual reviews. By introducing standardised preflight checklists in Adobe InDesign, I reduced pre-press error rates by 18%. This commitment to publication standards also informed my recent project work for Highland Horizons, where I authored a 60-page brand guidelines document detailing typographic hierarchies, accessible colour contrasts, and print collateral templates for a 45-panel exhibition suite.
I am keen to bring this combined focus on visual precision, publication design, and dependable production governance to Stirling & Baird Communications, and I look forward to discussing how my experience aligns with your forthcoming projects.
Yours sincerely,
Callum MacLeod
