Chloe Henderson
Competitive Swimming Coach
Cascades Aquatic Club
Dear Hiring Committee,
I am writing to express my interest in the Swimming Coach position with Cascades Aquatic Club. With a solid foundation in kinesiology and proven coaching experience in British Columbia, I am eager to contribute to your club's competitive programming and support your age-group athletes in reaching regional and provincial benchmarks.
In my current role as Head Age Group Coach at Pacific Crest Aquatic Club, I design and implement seasonal periodization training plans for 45 competitive swimmers aged 11 to 16. By integrating biomechanical technique work with structured pool conditioning and dryland injury mitigation routines, I coached athletes to 18 qualifying standards at provincial championships and four individual qualifications at the Western Canadian Championships. My work also includes managing athlete progressions and competition administration with Hy-Tek software.
Technical analysis is central to my daily poolside instruction. Through my Underwater Stroke Biomechanics Program, I introduced dual-angle tablet video reviews during sprint sessions, which helped reduce turn transit times by an average of 0.28 seconds across senior squad members. This technical focus builds on my earlier work at North Shore Wave Swim Club, where I instructed developmental squads of up to 30 swimmers on legal stroke mechanics, aerobic base building, and competition preparation.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my coaching background, periodized training design, and commitment to youth athletic development can support the continued success of Cascades Aquatic Club. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Chloe Henderson
