Fraser Campbell
Senior Tennis Coach & High-Performance Programme Director
Inverleith Lawn Tennis Club
Dear Selection Committee,
I am writing to express my interest in the Tennis Coach position at Inverleith Lawn Tennis Club. Having developed junior pathways and directed club coaching programmes across Edinburgh, I welcome the opportunity to bring my background in player development, structured group clinics, and technical coaching to your club.
In my current role as Head Tennis Coach at Pentland View Lawn Tennis & Squash Club, I oversee coaching operations for more than 450 members and lead our junior training structures. By restructuring junior development clinics and beginner introductory sessions, I helped increase junior section membership by 38% over four seasons. To support player progression, I incorporate Dartfish video feedback and high-speed motion capture into squad sessions, allowing juniors to review stroke biomechanics and court positioning systematically.
My coaching across Edinburgh has consistently centred on creating clear competitive pathways. I have guided players from developmental stages through to competitive success, training 7 regional junior champions and founding the Lothian Junior Matchplay Circuit to provide 120 junior players across four clubs with regular competitive match-play. Grounded in an LTA Level 4 Senior Performance Coach qualification and a BSc in Applied Sports Science from the University of Edinburgh, my coaching emphasizes sound training periodisation and positive player engagement.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my coaching background and commitment to player development can support Inverleith Lawn Tennis Club's coaching programmes. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours sincerely,
Fraser Campbell
