Rowan Callinan
HGV Driver (Category CE)
Corrib Haulage & Distribution
Dear Hiring Team,
I am writing to express my interest in the Truck Driver position with Corrib Haulage & Distribution. Holding a Category CE licence and a valid Driver CPC qualification, alongside extensive experience operating articulated and rigid commercial vehicles across Munster and South Leinster, I welcome the opportunity to support your regional transport operations with dependable, safety-focused freight delivery.
In my current role as an HGV Articulated Truck Driver with Lee Valley Freight Services, I drive Category CE articulated vehicles on scheduled regional haulage routes, maintaining a 99% on-time delivery compliance record. My daily responsibilities include performing mandatory pre-trip walkaround inspections, securing bulk consignments with tensioners, chains, and edge protectors in compliance with RSA standards, and coordinating cross-docking with depot teams. In addition, I maintain strict digital tachograph compliance, recording driving hours, breaks, and rest periods with zero regulatory infringements across annual audits.
My earlier experience with Rebel Haulage Logistics involved driving multi-drop rigid heavy commercial vehicles delivering ambient and refrigerated food products across County Cork. There, I monitored temperature-controlled cargo to maintain cold-chain integrity from collection to dock unloading, while managing proof-of-delivery documentation and handheld scanners to resolve delivery discrepancies at delivery points. Combined with an ADR Vocational Training Certificate for tanks and packages, this background has reinforced my focus on cargo security and careful vehicle handling.
I am eager to contribute my practical haulage experience, regulatory diligence, and commitment to punctual delivery to Corrib Haulage & Distribution. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to the possibility of discussing how my driving background meets your haulage requirements.
Yours sincerely,
Rowan Callinan
