In my current position as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Woonzorgresidentie De Dommelheide, I deliver personalized activities of daily living care for 18 residents across a psychogeriatric ward, including bathing, dressing, and nutritional assistance. I routinely support registered nurses by monitoring and logging vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and blood glucose in electronic client records. Additionally, I operate mechanical ceiling and mobile transfer hoists adhering to strict ergonomic protocols, and collaborated with ward occupational therapists on a sensory comfort project to help establish calming bedtime routines for residents experiencing evening agitation.
My foundation in elderly care is further reinforced by my clinical traineeship at Stichting Zorgpunt De Weverij, where I assisted senior care staff with morning and evening care routines for 14 rehabilitation patients recovering from stroke and orthopaedic procedures. Together with my MBO Level 2 qualification in Care and Welfare from Summa College and certifications in Basic Life Support and medicinal administration protocols, I maintain a consistent focus on resident comfort, safety, and clear interdisciplinary communication during shift handovers.
