Rowan Campbell
Junior Full Stack Developer
Pentland Digital Systems
Dear Hiring Team,
I am writing to express my interest in the Full Stack Developer position at Pentland Digital Systems. With practical experience developing web applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js, alongside relational database management and agile delivery, I am eager to contribute to your engineering team's client-focused products.
In my current role as a Junior Full Stack Developer at Calton Logic Labs, I develop and maintain client-facing web applications within a sprint-based team. My work includes building RESTful API endpoints and integrating PostgreSQL databases using Prisma ORM to support real-time user dashboards. To ensure application stability, I write automated unit and integration tests using Vitest and Supertest, maintaining branch test coverage above 80 percent. I also collaborate with designers to deliver responsive layouts and adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards across desktop and mobile platforms.
Prior to this, as a Software Engineering Intern at Braidwood Digital Media, I assisted senior engineers in refactoring legacy JavaScript modules into modern React functional components. During that placement, I implemented form validation and accessible interface components using Tailwind CSS and React Hook Form, and created automated end-to-end tests with Playwright to prevent regressions during weekly deployment cycles. Complementing this work, I have practical experience containerizing backend services with Docker through projects such as Community Club Hub.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my full-stack development experience, testing discipline, and focus on accessible web standards can support Pentland Digital Systems. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours sincerely,
Rowan Campbell
