Alex van Leeuwen
MBA Candidate & Aspiring Business Analyst
Maasstad Digital Solutions BV
Dear Hiring Team,
I am writing to express my interest in the Business Analyst role at Maasstad Digital Solutions BV. As a Master of Business Administration candidate at Rotterdam School of Management focusing on digital transformation and operations strategy, I am eager to apply my background in business process modeling, requirements elicitation, and stakeholder facilitation to your systems delivery initiatives.
In my previous role as a Junior Business Analyst at Zonnekracht Logistics BV, I regularly interviewed warehouse leads and inventory coordinators to map fulfilment workflows and author functional specifications and user stories for warehouse management adaptations. During this period, I constructed automated inventory discrepancy reports in SQL and Microsoft Excel that reduced weekly reconciliation time by four hours. I also coordinated user acceptance testing for 28 staff members during a barcoding module deployment, ensuring end-user readiness and smooth operational adoption.
Complementing this operational experience, my recent MBA diagnostic project involved evaluating inventory stockout challenges for an independent regional retailer across three branches. I built a demand forecasting model utilizing historical sales data and seasonal patterns, delivering a procedural roadmap to executive stakeholders outlining potential cost reductions of 7 percent. Coupled with credentials including the Entry Certificate in Business Analysis and Professional Scrum Master I, my training enables me to bridge operational needs and technical specifications through structured analytical frameworks.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss how my analytical skills and practical experience in process documentation can support Maasstad Digital Solutions BV in delivering robust software solutions. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Alex van Leeuwen
