Sales Manager cover letter example

NordWest Antriebssysteme GmbH

Dear Hiring Team,

I am writing to express my interest in the Sales Manager position at NordWest Antriebssysteme GmbH. With a background directing commercial strategy, regional sales teams, and partner networks within the German industrial manufacturing sector, I welcome the opportunity to contribute to your commercial operations and OEM client relationships.

In my current position as Senior Sales Manager at RheinWerk Antriebstechnik GmbH, I direct an eight-member regional sales team covering Western Germany and Benelux, overseeing an annual sales quota of 24 million EUR. During this tenure, I restructured tier-one distributor agreements across North Rhine-Westphalia, improving channel margins by 4.2 percentage points. In addition, I negotiated multi-year framework supply agreements with mechanical engineering OEMs that secured 14 million EUR in contracted backlog, while standardizing pipeline forecasting in CRM to reduce quarterly revenue projection variance from 12% to under 4%.

Prior to this, as Regional Sales Manager at Vandoren Maschinensysteme KG, I managed enterprise accounts for industrial automation components, expanding active corporate client accounts from 42 to 78 across North Rhine-Westphalia. In coordination with applications engineering, I organized tender responses that achieved a 34% bid win rate across public and private tenders, alongside mentoring four junior account managers on pricing models and contract structuring.

I look forward to discussing how my background in channel partner management, quota oversight, and commercial negotiation aligns with the objectives of NordWest Antriebssysteme GmbH. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Sasha Lindemann
