I am writing to express my interest in the Epidemiologist position at Noordervaart Public Health Institute. Having developed my career within regional disease surveillance, multi-source registry integration, and applied biostatistical analysis in the Netherlands, I welcome the opportunity to contribute to your institute's population health monitoring and evidence-based reporting programs.
In my current role at Aelst Institute for Population Health, I lead regional surveillance programs monitoring respiratory pathogens across municipal healthcare catchment areas. This work centers on coordinating surveillance reporting pipelines that integrate laboratory data from 14 municipal diagnostic hubs, alongside formulating multivariate regression models and survival analyses in R and Stata. Through these pipelines, I provide regular analytical guidance to regional public health directors on outbreak response thresholds and immunization targets.
Prior to this, at Zilvermeer Health Analytics Group, I managed observational cohort datasets of over 85,000 patient records examining environmental risk factors. In that position, I established standardized automated data cleaning workflows in R that reduced study setup delays by 3 weeks per project cycle, while developing statistical analysis plans for multi-center longitudinal studies. This combination of rigorous data architecture and practical biostatistics aligns directly with Noordervaart's mission to maintain dependable health indicator monitoring.
