Currently completing a Master of Science by Research in Environmental Science at the University of Bristol, my postgraduate studies center on spatio-temporal modeling of riparian wetland restoration across the Severn basin. Through my current appointment as a Graduate Research Assistant at Avon Riverlands Environmental Trust, I gather and curate weekly hydrological sensor datasets across 14 field monitoring catchments, maintaining reproducible data validation pipelines in R. This role involves assisting lead hydrologists in preparing technical appendices and spatial visualizations for public stakeholder briefings, as well as conducting routine water chemistry sampling under standard regulatory procedures. These day-to-day responsibilities have reinforced my commitment to careful quality assurance and structured research data management.
My technical analytical background is further grounded in project work such as the Avon Basin Riparian Habitat Mapping Project. Using QGIS and Python with GeoPandas, I constructed automated spatial analysis routines to assess canopy fragmentation trends across satellite archives, integrating ground-truth botanical records with multispectral vegetation indices to assess baseline habitat vulnerability. Combined with my prior experience processing ecological monitoring records and co-authoring baseline field audit reports at Cotswold Bioanalytics Consultancy, I am prepared to contribute rigorous empirical support and organized documentation to your research team.
