Elena Voss
Medical Student & Aspiring Clinical Research Assistant
Nordelbe Clinical Trials Institute
Dear Hiring Team,
I am writing to express my interest in the Clinical Research Assistant position at Nordelbe Clinical Trials Institute. Currently pursuing human medicine at Universität Hamburg, where I have completed the First and Second State Examinations, I have developed a strong practical foundation in trial coordination, patient screening, and regulatory documentation. I welcome the opportunity to support your clinical investigation teams with methodical data collection and strict protocol adherence.
In my current role as a Student Research Assistant at Alsterpark Klinikum, I coordinate patient visit schedules and carry out preliminary eligibility screenings for an ongoing multicenter Phase II cardiology study. My day-to-day responsibilities include entering clinical observations and laboratory results into REDCap, where I resolve data queries within 48 hours, as well as centrifuging, aliquoting, and cataloging venous blood specimens according to established cold-chain standards. These duties have trained me to work with precision while handling time-sensitive biospecimens and patient documentation.
Additionally, I assist the lead study coordinator with trial master file maintenance and assemble regulatory files ahead of monitor visits, guided by my certification in ICH Good Clinical Practice. My background also includes extracting pseudonymized data from 240 patient records to evaluate cardiac biomarker trends during an academic research project, as well as conducting chart reviews and adverse drug reaction reporting during my clinical elective at Elbmarschen Medical Center. These experiences have reinforced my appreciation for thorough data verification and standard operating procedures.
I look forward to contributing my practical trial support skills, laboratory specimen handling abilities, and commitment to compliance to the research operations at Nordelbe Clinical Trials Institute. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Elena Voss
