I am writing to express my strong interest in the Nursing Student Placement position at Centre Hospitalier Rive-Gauche. Currently completing my studies toward the Diplome d Etat d Infirmier at Institut de Formation en Soins Infirmiers Paris Centre, I am eager to contribute to your clinical care teams while continuing to develop my patient assessment and bedside care capabilities in an acute hospital environment.
During my clinical internship in geriatric rehabilitation at Clinique Val-de-Seine Belleville, I conducted vital sign monitoring, blood glucose tracking, and daily physical assessments for 12 patients under the supervision of mentor nurses. I also supported registered nurses with aseptic wound dressings and subcutaneous injections, while documenting care in electronic health records and taking part in interdisciplinary rounds alongside physiotherapists and physicians. This experience solidified my adherence to hospital safety standards and taught me the importance of clear, compassionate communication with patients experiencing complex health conditions.
In addition, my placement in general medicine at Hopital Prive Saint-Ambroise Nord strengthened my vigilance in monitoring patient condition changes. I recorded vital signs and evaluated pain scales at scheduled intervals for 10 post-acute medical patients, alerting senior nursing staff promptly when parameters shifted. Collaborating on structured shift handovers and applying rigorous hygiene protocols to prevent healthcare-associated infections demonstrated the direct link between structured teamwork and patient safety. Complementing this hands-on work, my training in AFGSU Niveau 2 has provided me with a grounded foundation in emergency protocols and collaborative clinical response.
