My daily workflow involves verifying digital test requisitions and barcoded sample labeling through Laboratory Information Systems, as well as conducting centrifugation, aliquoting, and temperature-controlled sample staging for hematology, biochemistry, and coagulation panels. Additionally, I regularly guide patients through pre-analytical requirements for glucose tolerance assessments and 24-hour urine collection.
Prior to this, at Havenpoort Gezondheidscentrum, I performed venipunctures, capillary fingersticks, and micro-collection procedures while adhering strictly to NEN-EN-ISO 15189 pre-analytical quality assurance standards. This structured compliance helped reduce sample rejection rates below 0.3%. I also maintained weekly stock of safety needles, butterfly assemblies, vacuum tubes, and biohazard receptacles to ensure uninterrupted outpatient services.
