Maya Lin
Stage and Screen Actor | Classical and Contemporary Performance
Olympic Peninsula Repertory Theatre
Dear Casting Committee,
I am writing to express my interest in the Actor position for Olympic Peninsula Repertory Theatre's upcoming repertory season. Having trained in both classical performance and contemporary drama in the Pacific Northwest, I am eager to contribute my stage experience, ensemble discipline, and vocal background to your company's versatile repertoire.
Most recently, as a Company Actor with Soundview Repertory Theatre, I performed as a lead character across a six-week, 24-show run of an original regional drama. That production required rehearsing 20 hours weekly under dynamic ensemble staging while sustaining strict consistency in blocking and emotional arc across each performance. Working closely with fellow cast members and engaging directly with audiences during post-show panels reinforced my commitment to focused, collaborative storytelling throughout an extended run.
In addition to principal performance, I bring proven readiness and adaptability under demanding production conditions. While serving as an ensemble member and primary understudy for two principal roles at Cascade Stage Ensemble, I stepped in for four live performances with four hours of notice. During those shows, I executed complete staging, dialect, and prop requirements without disruption, coordinating closely with stage management and the movement director to maintain choreography and backstage safety protocols.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Washington and practical experience spanning regional ensemble runs, vocal work, and physical theatre, I would welcome the opportunity to support your upcoming productions. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to the possibility of discussing how my preparation and background align with your season.
Sincerely,
Maya Lin
