Fiona Brogan
Cinematographer | Director of Photography
Kilkee River Films
Dear Hiring Team,
I am writing to express my interest in the Cinematographer role for Kilkee River Films' upcoming slate of drama and factual productions. Having followed your studio's commitment to grounded, atmospheric narrative storytelling, I am eager to bring my technical expertise in camera operation, lighting design, and department leadership to your productions.
Currently at Bannow Bay Pictures, I serve as Cinematographer across narrative featurettes, television drama episodes, and branded campaigns. In this role, I establish visual continuity and collaborate closely with directors, production designers, and colourists from early pre-production shot-listing through to final DI grading passes. On set, I supervise camera and lighting crews of up to 14 members, managing camera packages, specialty rigging, and electrical safety. Additionally, by pioneering low-light LED setups and tailored anamorphic lens pairings for two broadcast documentaries, I helped reduce set relocation times by 20% while maintaining exacting aesthetic standards.
My hands-on technical background also includes operating primary A-camera on independent features and commercial broadcasts with Kestrel Motion Pictures, where I engineered tracking shots using Steadicam systems, technocranes, and vehicle-mounted remote heads in demanding outdoor conditions. Whether shooting historical narrative projects like the festival-screened short An Cuan in remote heritage interiors or deploying large-format systems in adverse weather for documentary productions, I focus on building cohesive visual languages that serve the narrative and respect production schedules.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss how my camera department leadership, optics knowledge, and collaborative approach can support Kilkee River Films' creative vision on set. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours sincerely,
Fiona Brogan
